Wanted: Junior Refs

Marrickville FC is continuing the highly successful junior referee mentoring scheme which last year saw so many of our young players step into an officiating role in the junior games (and earn some pocket money too). Sean O'Connor oversaw the program last year and is taking expressions of interest from players over the age of 12. Email Sean at ref@marrickvillefc.org.au

URGENT REGISTRATION REMINDER - DON'T MISS 2009 SEASON!

Hi all, CDFSA have set a deadline of Monday 1 March for team registrations from U8  to seniors. ALSO we now have to send up full team lists ( in past we could send up incomplete teams and then fill in later). The number of players registering the last 2 weekends has been a bit down and we are worried that players are leaving it too late to register. We will be finalising team lists and grade recommendations on saturday 27 Feburary.  Letters and emails were sent to all players in January with dates of registration throughout Feburary. We only have two weeks to confirm returning players. So we need your help.
1. please contact your teams/players asap and confirm who is coming back for 2009 season.
2. encourage your returning players to register this week or next week at the latest ( wed evenings 5.30-7pm at Mackey Park)
3. Let us know which players are returning so we can make up preliminary team lists in advance.
4. Let us know if you need extra players.
5. let us know your preferred team grade/level.
6. If you are not taking a team this year , let us know so we can nominate someone else to contact your 2008 players

Final team groupings will be decided throughout March in consultation with commitee , coaches/managers and players.

updated registration and SSG info

Registration for players turning 8 or older in 2009 will take place at the clubhouse from 10 to 2 on Saturday 31st January and Saturday 7th February.

Training will commence at Marrickville High School and Wilkins Public School from mid February 2009.

Teams will be finalised by 1st March. Trial games will be held during March. Training at Mackey Park will resume when the competition season proper starts at end of March.

Due to the roll out of small sided games, the 8s and 10s across the Canterbury District will not increase team and field size.

IF YOU ARE turning 5, 6 or 7 and will be playing Small Sided Games at Mackey Park, then REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE UNTIL MARCH 7th, from 10 to 3, at the clubhouse.

Dulwich Hill Football club trials for U8 to U12 training squads

Players (new and returning) and Coaches and Managers are invited to register for the 2009 winter soccer season.

Due to small sided games (SSG) roll out in 2009, U6 and U7 will have a later registration date. See table below.

To register, come to Mackey Park Clubhouse, cnr Richardson Crescent and Carrington Road Marrickville.
